Books & Insights on Mind, Intelligence, and Technology
“The complete knowledge comes when the mind is purified and disciplined, the intellect is sharp and precise, and reason is illumined by the inner light of intuition and experience. Then only does the human being attain true wisdom.” — The Mother
I’m Gaurav Kumar—an author and AI practitioner who loves exploring the intersection of technology and the humanities. My book, Evolutionary Mind: The Cognitive Origins of Artificial Intelligence, doesn’t just look at AI as a technical feat. Instead, I see it as a mirror of the human mind—a way to better understand thought, consciousness, and what it really means to be human. Drawing on philosophy, psychology, and cognitive science, I invite readers to reflect not just on intelligence, but on the deeper questions of existence.
Professionally, I work as an AI Solutions Architect (TOGAF Certified), designing intelligent and scalable systems. I’m actively involved in communities like the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI) and the Association of Enterprise Architects (AEA). My expertise in AI and cloud technologies is shaped not only by engineering but also by my engagement with both Eastern and Western philosophy. This combination helps me approach AI with a human-centered, ethical perspective.
For me, philosophy and theology aren’t just abstract ideas—they’re living frameworks that shine light on the mind and its connection to a larger whole. Across different traditions, I find the same thread: we are not separate from the world but expressions of it. This belief guides both my work and my writing, giving my approach a balance of technical rigor and contemplative depth.
Through my books, talks, and professional practice, I hope to guide curious minds—technologists, thinkers, or seekers—on a journey that brings science and spirit together. My aim is to build systems that are not only innovative and robust but also meaningful and aligned with the deeper truths of human cognition. Outside of work, I find grounding in meditation, mindfulness, and time spent in nature, which continue to inspire both my life and work.
